The Hole in the Wall is a heavily-timbered, XVth century pub in the small village of Little Wilbraham, halfway between Cambridge and Newmarket, which chef Chris Leeton and his wife Jenny have taken on -- having previously run the 2005 Good Pub Guide ‘Pub of the Year’ in Herefordshire -- in partnership with the renowned, and self-styled ‘accidental’ restaurateur, Stephen Bull.
The Hole in the Wall’s menu offers fresh, locally sourced produce that is skilfully cooked and invitingly presented, real ales and an interesting wine list, all at reasonable prices, in a warm pub atmosphere with log fires in winter and a pretty terrace in summer.
Listed in both the Michelin and Good Pub guides this year, the Good Food Guide moreover awarded The Hole in the Wall the accolade of ‘Cambridgeshire Newcomer of the Year’ for 2006.
